UNIST is located at Banyeon-ri which is a western suburb of Ulsan metropolitan city. Ulsan is situated abot 360km from Seoul and 40km from Pusan. The UNIST campus can be easily reached by airplane, express train or a bus from Seoul, Pusan, and other major cities throughout the country using various options.

By plane — Ulsan has a domestic airport which is about a 40-minute drive to campus. Once you arrive at the airport, you can take either bus 402, 412, 432, 452 and then transfer to 733 at Shinbok Roundabout. If you choose to use taxi, it will cost about KRW 20,000 from the airport to the campus.
There are express trains running from Seoul Train Station to Ulsan Train Station. The trip takes two and a half hours. Once you arrive at Ulsan Train Station, it is a good idea to take a taxi to UNIST in order to avoid multiple bus line changes, although it will cost approx. KRW 10,000 from the station to the campus.
By Bus — At Seoul Bus Station, there are express buses running every hour to Ulsan. Passing through Ulsan Tollgate, a driver will make an announcement to stop at Shinbok Roundabout. Get off at this stop, and take the 733 bus to UNIST. The price for a taxi from Shinbok Roundabout to the campus is approx. KRW 5,000.
